Reproduction of labor resources in the context of economic modernization

The article considers the problem of the formation of labor resources - students of a technical university. Based on a survey of first-year students of the Berezniki branch of PNRPU in the industrial city of the Western Urals, the authors investigate which sources of information and what reasons guided young people when choosing a university, who helped them to decide on their future profession and what they expect from studying at the university. The data obtained will help to conduct the admission campaign more effectively, adjust academic and extracurricular work in higher educational institutions, and improve the quality of training of specialists, which, ultimately, will contribute to more effective socio-economic, socio-cultural development of the territory and human capital.
