Recovery of the hydraulic motor plate by electric spark treatment

The article describes the technology for the recovery of a hydraulic motor plate with a thick-walled multi-layer electric spark coating. In the course of preliminary studies, a thick-walled restoration coating was applied to the worn sections of the working surface of the plate with an electrode made of U9 tool steel, followed by reflow by a non-consumable electrode WL-15 with a diameter of 2.4 mm. Electric spark treatment of the hull was carried out on the BIG-4 brand. Studies of wear information showed that the maximum depths of the shells of the working surface are in the range from 1.0 to 1.12 mm. The working surface has a maximum linear wear of 80 μm. Depreciation of the support is 100 μm. The bosses of the experimental sample did not have any wear. Based on studies of worn information, a restoration technique is proposed, which includes the following operations: cleaning, defecting, preparing the surface for applying a thick electric spark coating; electric spark machining, grinding. When the plate was restored, the electric spark coating was applied in several passes. The number of passes was determined by the amount of wear. The first pass was coated with an electrode with a diameter of 3.5 mm. The second pass was coated with an electrode with a diameter of 1.5 mm. The third pass was a reflow. The number of passes was determined by the application modes and the allowance for subsequent machining.
