The modern economic thinking is basing upon the values of the Western culture of the modern era. In this picture of the world a human is a selfish creature, for whom work is a stern necessity. The critical state of the world economy is the result of neglect of the moral values system in favour of the material prosperity. British economist and philosopher E.F. Shumacher proposed the idea of "people-centered economics" based on the Buddhist approach and complete revision of production purposes, which requires global changes on a worldwide scale. The tasks of Eurocentrism overcoming and formation of a new world outlook based on the philosophy of the East were set by the Silver Age culture as far back as at the turn of the XX century.
