Involvement of students in the prevention of destructive manifestations in the educational environment: results of the research

As part of the study of the problems of organizing effective preventive work in the educational environment, in April 2021, specialists from the Social Networks Monitoring Center of the Chelyabinsk Institute of the Vocational Education Development conducted a study of the media and information literacy of young people studying in general and vocational educational organizations of the Chelyabinsk region. This article presents the key conclusions on the blocks of research devoted to the assessment of real threats and risks that students face on the Internet (aggressive subcultures, extremist communities, movements that romanticize depressive communities, cyberbullying problems, etc.), as well as the analysis of student involvement in preventive measures carried out in educational institutions. As a result of the study, conclusions are formulated on the organization of an effective system for the prevention of destructive manifestations in the educational environment.
