Excitation of a quantum Morse oscillator by laser pulses: model calculation of the process probability

A description of the excitation of a Morse quantum oscillator by laser pulses of arbitrary duration is proposed within the framework of a model based on the correspondence between the electric area of a laser pulse and its Fourier transform. Using this correspondence and the formulas obtained in the article [1], the dependences of the excitation probability of a Morse quantum oscillator from the ground state on the duration of a Gaussian pulse and its carrier frequency are calculated for different values of the pulse amplitude. A comparison of the obtained dependences for a Morse oscillator and a harmonic oscillator is carried out.
