The state of the thyroid gland in young cattle under conditions of iodine, selenium, cobalt, zinc deficiency in the Astrakhan region was studied. A histological analysis was carried out and a description of the state of gland hypofunction was given. We present the results of biochemical studies of blood serum of Holstein-Friesian cows of different age groups, in particular, thyroid hormones. A method for correcting hypothyroidism and hypomicroelementosis of the above elements has been developed and proposed. Our research suggests that in the feed and water of the Astrakhan region there is a low content of iodine, selenium, cobalt, zinc. The obtained data are necessary to create a biogeochemical paradigm of iodine-seleno-zinc-cobalt deficiency in the territory of the Lower Volga, to develop methods and methods for the prevention and treatment of goiter and hypomicroelementosis in Holstein-Friesian breed of cows.
