The globalization processes have become the main channel and tool of information transmission in modern society. It takes place in the context of the informational worldview development, taking new attitudes related to the revaluation of values, the proliferation of virtual communication. This is mainly due to the fact that globalization is not only a technical and technological process of combining economic and political acts but also a social and cultural phenomenon that affects the underlying foundations of human perception of the world. The research focuses on the positive and negative impacts of globalization on public consciousness. These changes influence the informational worldview. The author concludes that despite the positive effect on the technical and technological progress of society, globalization processes have an ambiguous impact on the social and cultural background of the public life. It is necessary to build a new information network which will contribute to the consolidation of society by means of national, ethnic priorities and values and provide mutually beneficial cooperation while maintaining national interest.
