The article deals with the problem of market relations in a high school education in Russia at the end of XX century. Done an analysis of the financing of education services to the citizens of the Russian Federation. Particular attention is paid to the study of public and private high schools in the educational market, as well as the rules of price competition, advertising, and tax incentives.
