The article is devoted to the possibility of applying a security payment in tort obligations. The opinions of different authors are analyzed, and various approaches to the application of this design are considered. The analysis of the current norms of the Russian legislation is carried out. It is concluded that the scope of application of a security payment in tort obligations is rather limited.
