Possibility of helium recovery at the Amur GPP

This article discusses the possibility of extracting helium from the natural gas of the Amur GPP. The raw material of the plant is natural gas, which is supplied to the plant from the fields of Eastern Siberia. The composition of this gas is dominated by a high content of "noble gas" - helium. Thus, it is expedient to evaluate the possibility of helium extraction at the Amur GPP. The article discusses methods for extracting helium from natural gas, studies a distillation column for stripping nitrogen, plotted dependency graphs, performed a plate-by-plate calculation of flooding of a distillation column, determined the main geometric parameters, presented a diagram of the operation of a plate heat exchanger for cooling helium, and considered methods for extracting helium from natural gas.
