Opportunities for the formation of reasoning in elementary school

The article presents a study related to identifying the possibilities of forming the actions of constructing reasoning in elementary school, in particular, among second-graders. As such an opportunity, the author's program "Plots" was proposed, which includes seven types of plot-logical tasks of non-educational content. On the basis of this program, 28 weekly classes were held with the children of the experimental group during the school year (September - May) outside of school hours. The results of the final diagnostics showed that classes in the "Plots" program and the school curriculum contribute to the formation of actions for constructing reasoning to a much greater extent than classes only in the school curriculum.
