Possibilities of using adaptive tests in the practice of modern higher education

The research conducted by the author of the article allowed to determine the nature of adaptive e-learning as one of the modern strategies of individualization of the educational process. The article discusses adaptive tests as a component of adaptive e-learning systems. The definitions of such tests given in the literature are analyzed, their detailed description is given, their types, advantages and disadvantages, criteria used for development are highlighted.
