The article analyzes the possibilities of using composite materials in aviation technology. The advantages of using composite materials in the aircraft industry are revealed. The features of composite materials with a metal matrix based on aluminum, magnesium and titanium, composites with ceramic and polymer matrices are considered. Their characteristics, possibilities and limitations of use in aviation technology are given.
