Possibilities for using municipal property management methods for the purposes of territorial development

Although local governments own significant property, they tend to be the least in control of their resources. The lack of attention to property as a strategic resource is due to the fact that local governments are mostly the proponents of a passive approach to property management, tending to focus on the provision of services, and not on the use of municipal resource management methods. This approach is characterized by a tendency to perceive the property as a “random resource”. The article discusses possible improvements to the municipal property management system by applying various methods of managing them in accordance with the modern requirements to ensure the effectiveness of this process.
