The possibility of using objective information from the car's hardware and software complex in modeling the development of the mechanism of an accident with a hit-and-run on pedestrians

The purpose of the study is to describe the possibilities of using hardware and software systems to obtain objective information in the process of preparing materials for the analysis of road accidents. Conclusions are drawn about the possibility and necessity of using the hardware and software complexes of the car in the analysis of the mechanism of development of an accident with a hit-and-run on a pedestrian. The results of studies using the Bosh-CDR APC to obtain data on the state of the vehicle and the operation of the vehicle’s electronic systems during the investigation of a traffic accident are presented. It is concluded that the use of objective information obtained from the vehicle’s on-board electronics can provide significant assistance in the investigation of accidents involving pedestrians.
