The concept of inspection of the scene of an accident in accordance with the criminal procedure legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as factors affecting the effectiveness of this action, are considered. The importance of the use of technical means during the inspection of the scene of the incident is revealed. The features of the use of high-resolution technical means for fixing and demonstrating the situation at the scene are analyzed. The technical means used when inspecting the scene of the incident have been systematized.
