Possibilities of complex ultrasound diagnostics of liver cysts

Based on the data of morphological examination of the surgical material, the sensitivity of ultrasonography in the preoperative period was evaluated in 82 patients with liver tumors of various etiologies. The sensitivity of ultrasound in the diagnosis of hepatocellular cancer is 95%, metastatic lesions - 86%, liver hemangioma - 98%, liver adenoma - 94%. The features of intrahepatic hemodynamics, determined by Dopplerography, make it possible to differentiate malignant and benign forms of focal liver damage. The main sign characterizing the malignant nature of the lesion is an increase in the diameter of the common hepatic artery and the volumetric velocity of blood flow through it. The nature of blood flow, both in the tumor tissue and in the perifocal zone, most often has the usual characteristics that do not allow us to judge the origin of the tumor.
