The article presents an analysis of the literature on the features of postoperative treatment of patients with glioblastomas of the brain and the role of modern methods of radiation diagnostics in assessing the effectiveness of radiation therapy. The characteristics of the techniques with an emphasis on T2 * contrast perfusion study are presented, the issues of determining the continued growth, relapse, and stabilization of the disease during radiation treatment are considered. A comprehensive analysis of the problem was carried out, tasks requiring further development, improvement in terms of planning and evaluating the results of radiation therapy were outlined. Key words: computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, glioblastomas, radiation therapy
