Potential of multimedia means and their role in the development of foreign communicative competence of students in pedagogical universities

The article deals with the issues of the integration of the multimedia means in the foreign educational process. The author describes their advantages and potential in the development of the communicative competence of the students of the pedagogical university. There are presented the didactic characteristics and functions of the means of multimedia, there is defined their role in the development of the meaningful components of the foreign communicative competence.
