The article presents the results of studying the current state of affairsconcerning the creative potential of the Vologda Oblast youth and conditions for its development. The research is based on a questionnaire survey held by ISEDT RAS in 2011. The article determines the opportunities for the development of creative and research activities in educational institutions.
