The results of the introduction of the concept of perioperative patient safety with colon cancer, whose main elements are integrated prevention of infections and surgical site escalation prevention of venous thromboembolic complications based on the protocol of early recovery. The result was a shortening of the treatment achieved to 8.9 vs. 13.1 days, postoperative complications from 26.9% to 14.8% and from 11.7 surgical% to 3.5%.
