Prevention of postoperative complications after radical surgeries on lungs depending on the method of perioperative analgesia

The study included 60 patients with stage II–III lung cancer who underwent pulmonary lobectomy following neoadjuvant chemotherapy. In the study group of patients, infusion thoracic epidural analgesia was prolonged till 3–5 days. In the comparison group of patients, thoracic epidural analgesia was performed with a bolus of ropivacaine. To analyze ventilation and blood flow in the lungs, ventilation-perfusion scintigraphy of the lungs was performed 4–5 days after surgery. Infusion thoracic epidural analgesia was shown to be effective method for prevention of pulmonary inflammatory and thrombotic complications in perioperative period in lung cancer patients.
