The initial human occupation of Eurasia revolves around the scientific interests in these latter days, because the research results, received for the last ten years, permitted to revise as chronology well as cultural specifics of archaeological objects, which had been related to Lower Paleolithic. Excluding the loess sites in Afghan-Tadjik depression the most known Lower Paleolithic occurrences were the Kulbulak site and Selungur Cave. In result of 1960-1970 excavation campaigns, the most ancient cultural deposits were technico-typologically determined as the Acheulian and chronologically synchronous or more ancient by the side of paleomagnetic boundary Brunhes-Matuyama (780-800 ka). Conducted in the last decade, studies have disposed of this interpretation both in terms of cultural and chronological of the lower sedimentological unit. Recent research proved that the industry is related to the Middle to Upper Paleolithic transition. U. Islamov the principal researcher of this site chronologically determined the Selungur materials at 1.5 ma. BP and culturally related it to Olduvai industries. The renewed research in the Selungur Cave shew that this archaeological object contained the asynchronous material, related to Middle Paleolithic mainly. Basing on the new data it can be supposed that preliminary results of 2015 excavation campaign permit to purpose the more complicated formation of Middle Paleolithic in this region on the one hand and to stumble at the interpretation of the materials from this object as the Lower Paleolithic on the other.
