The last two decades of the last century vividly demonstrate the change in the paradigm of energy development, which corresponded to industrial civilization and in many ways defined it. There was a reduction in the growth rate of per capita energy consumption, both in developed countries and in the world. Previously, it doubled approximately every 50 years during good periods. Of course, during global cataclysms, stagnation or even a decrease in per capita energy consumption occurred, but since the 1980s. last century, this trend continued with the continued growth of the world economy. The energy crisis of 1973 stimulated the start of development in the field of alternative energy, which made it possible to start using renewable energy sources and make them a priority for the national energy strategies of many developed countries.
