Age and gender dynamics of power performance of skeletal muscles in urban schoolchildren with different body types

Бесплатный доступ

Here we present the results of the analysis of the sex and age dynamics of the power qualities of skeletal muscles in children and adolescents in the city of Gomel aged from 7 to 17 years. The periods of acceleration and deceleration of growth rates of indicators characterizing the strength qualities of skeletal musculature in urban schoolchildren are revealed. The maxima of the growths of these indicators occur earlier in lepto- and mesosomal boys, as well as in meso- and hypersomal girls. Sexual dimorphism of force indicators in schoolchildren of all somatotypes in the process of ontogenesis gradually increases in favor of boys due to higher rates of growth in their indices during the puberty period (especially among mesosomal schoolchildren). A correlation correlation between somatometric indices and strength characteristics of schoolchildren was established. It was closer in representatives of mesosome somatotypes compared with lepto- and hypersomal ones.
