Age variation of the teeth characters of the bank vole (Clethrionomys glareolus Sсhreber)

On the course of the phenetics research in the natural populations it is crucial to exclude characters influenced by variability due to the age. The presence of the age component in the polymorphic variability of chewing surface of molars of the root-toothed Bank Vole has been studied. It has been found, that the majority of variations connected to the morphology of angles and sides of the enamel loops as well as the number of closed dentin fields are intimately related to the process of teeth formation and wearing.
