Age-related roentgen-and-anatomical changes in the ankle of patients with Erlacher-Blount disease

Age-related roentgen-and-anatomical changes in the bones, forming the ankle, were studied in 19 patients with Erlacher-Blount disease. Polypositional roentgenography was used as a method of study. Roentgenometry of tibia, fibular and talus revealed the changes of the malleolar index, the index of the malleolar articular surfaces and the tibiotalar index. Chronic traumatic epiphysiolysis of distal growth plates of leg bones was noted as well. Typical roengen-and-anatomical changes in the bones, forming the ankle, were more marked in patients with Erlacher-Blount disease of early type, that was associated with early clinical-and-roentgenological manifestation of the disease.
