The return of metaphysics in contemporary ontological projects

The article is devoted to the issue of constructing critical metaphysics. The study reviews the historical grounds for transforming tradition in connection with the ideological complex of the concept of the “whole (completeness)”. The whole that is the core of classical metaphysics (from Plato to Hegel) persists in the current historical and philosophical situation. The paper considers the transition of the “whole” from the speculative epistemological construct to the existential experience of the “completeness” of the world. The author formulated the following methodological position: constructing critical metaphysics is possible within the phenomenology of artistic experience.
