Return to the motherland: towards the biography of Andrey Predtechensky

In this article, the authors provide some biographical information about Andrey Ivanovich Predtechensky (1832-1893), Professor at St. Petersburg Teological Academy, theologian, publisher of the scholarly journals Christian Reading (Khristianskoye Chteniye) and Church Bulletin (Tserkovny Vestnik). Tis information is derived from sources published in the 19th century. Te article also describes his burial place in the Voskresenskoye Plantation in the vicinity of Staraya Russa in the Novgorod Region. Finally, the authors publish and supply with comments an article by Professor A. P. Lopukhin describing the transportation of Predtechensky’s body to its final resting place
