The all-Russian ethnographic exhibition of 1867 in Moscow is 155 years old

In 2022, the scientific and cultural community of the country will celebrate 155 years since the organization and holding of the All-Russian Ethnographic Exhibition in Moscow. The exhibition became an important scientific and socio-political event, and its exhibits formed the backbone of the ethnographic collection of the Rumyantsev Museum. In turn, this exhibition was the first major action of the Imperial Society of Lovers of Natural History, Anthropology and Ethnography - a new type of institution.
