The article discusses one of the very controversial issues of domestic science of criminal procedure law about the goals and results of the meetings of the inquiry body’s operative officers, conducting operative investigation activity, with the suspect in custody. The author believes that the current criminal procedure law doesn’t provide procedural safeguards protecting the suspect in custody from the illegal and unreasonable actions of operational staff and proposes to establish such safeguards.
