The article considers the features of secondary hyperparathyroidism among patients with chronic kidney disease. The literature data on etiology, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations and laboratory changes characteristic of secondary hyperparathyroidism are presented. The statistical prevalence rates by sex and age, the incidence of secondary hyperparathyroidism, and the state of mineral-bone metabolism of 72 patients with urinary tract disease were also studied.
