Institutions of higher education facing the pandemic: vital aspects of arranging the students’ independent work in remote studying context

The problems that universities faced in the context of the coronavirus pandemic are considered. The necessity of the transition of universities to distance learning is shown. The features of the organization of independent work of students of a technical university in the study of mathematical disciplines in a situation of forced use of the remote format of the educational process are disclosed. The results of the work of higher education in a pandemic are summarized and the conclusions and recommendations arising from them are formulated.
