In the article the author covers the issue of legislative regulation of land allocation for the construction of high-speed railway lines. The author notes that the Moscow-Kazan construction project being developed is unprecedented in Russia. In this regard, the legal control of the state should be carefully developed, and therefore, it is necessary to supplement the legislative framework with appropriate legal structures. At the same time, the author conducts a comparative analysis of the scientific and theoretical definition of a land plot with a legislatively fixed one. The article provides examples of legisla- tive changes. The author also focuses on the availability of title documents for the land plot chosen for the construction of the highway. The contributor notes that the refusal or absence of title documents for the land plot, which, according to the developed planning documentation, is approved for the object, may lead to an increase in the construction time of the high-speed railway lines. It is noted that the land for the construction of high-speed highways must necessarily pass the state cadastral registration. In the article, the author points to specific legal structures aimed at ensuring the safety of the operation of a network of high-speed railway lines. In addition, the article deals with the issue of allocating land for the construction of high-speed railway lines associated with the refusal of state authorities to issue title docu- ments. Within the framework of this article, the author gives examples of the changes introduced into Russian legislation. However, these legal changes also require application in practice. The article touches upon judicial practice regarding the limitations of land ownership
