Identify the prevalence of arterial hypertension in Ulyanovsk by application of the action "Stop! Hypertension!"

The analysis of the results of the campaign "STOP! HYPERTENSION!" Conducted by Administration of Ulyanovsk and the medical faculty of Ulyanovsk State University. In total 2539 people at the age of 20-59 years (middle age 41,3) are surveyed. When measuring blood pressure accounted for the formation of man, his weight, bad habits. Frequency of arterial hypertension made 1701 persons. Elevated blood pressure was recorded more often in women (26 %) than men (16 %), significantly more hypertension occurs at age 35 or older, revealed that hypertension often occurs in people who are overweight (16 %) revealed a large the proportion of patients with hypertension in the structure of smokers (26 %).
