The international character of modern education is expressed in the growth of academic mobility of students, in the increase in the number of foreign students in the world. In the field of education, the role of international contacts is steadily growing, as one of the components of globalization. The significance of the problems we are developing is due to the objective difficulties encountered by foreign students studying at Russian universities, which ultimately affects the learning process. In this regard, the relevance of the work lies in the need to optimize the process of training foreign students, improve the quality of their education and competitiveness in the labor market. One of the resources for optimizing the training of foreign students is educational motivation.
