High-protein cold-resistant soybean cultivar Irbis

Бесплатный доступ

High-protein cold-resistant soybean cultivar Irbis is derived by individual selection from the hybrid population F4 L-2577 × Aldana. As a result of the 2013-2016 variety trials, the cultivar Irbis exceeded the average protein standard cultivar Slavia on protein content by 3.7 abs. %, but having the same yield level. In some years of testing, the protein content in the seeds of the cultivar Irbis reached 45.8%. Plants of the new cultivar are resistant to lodging and pod shattering. Plant height under Krasnodar latitude (45°) is 93-112 cm. This variety is characterized by increased cold and drought resistance. This allows cultivating it for grain in almost all soybean producing farms of the Southern and Volga federal districts at latitudes of 43-48°.
