High-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in the Russian economy: structural trends and regional imbalances

Бесплатный доступ

This scientific article examines the role of high-tech and knowledge-intensive industries in the Russian economy, analyzes their contribution to GDP and GRP, regional imbalances and barriers to innovative development. Based on statistical data, structural imbalances have been identified: the concentration of production in the Central Federal District and the Volga region, the gap between scientific developments and their commercialization, and the crisis of technology diffusion. Special attention is paid to the effect of the "technological trap" and the uneven innovation activity by region. The results demonstrate the need for systemic measures to overcome dependence on raw materials and transition to a sustainable model of technological development.
