The interaction of operational units of internal affairs agencies with the public during the course of prevention and detection of crimes

The article considers some issues of interaction of internal affairs agencies with the public in contemporary Russia. The article author concludes that modern approaches to the organization, content of the interaction process of law enforcement structures and civil society should be based on activity of units of internal affairs agencies; in the prevention work of operational units of internal affairs agencies it is necessary to use a regional model of interaction between law enforcement structures and civil society, developed for each region in accordance with its specific characteristics, with the level of legal culture of the population, with a crime rate in this region.
