Interaction between investigators and detective squad employees when detecting and investigating crimes at the initial stage

The study deals with a number of issues related to the collaboration of investigators and detective squad employees when detecting and investigating crimes at the initial stage. The concept of interaction and its basic forms are defined; the regulatory and legal grounds for cooperation are highlighted. The research considers the interaction between the investigator and the detective squad employee at the incident scene, the significance of oral communication during their collaboration, and the role of oral instructions of the investigator at the incident scene. A proposal is made to improve the legislation (the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and the Federal Law on Police No. 03-ФЗ dated 07 February, 2011) in the field of compulsory execution of verbal orders of the investigator if these instructions are given as a part of the crime scene investigation team activities at the incident scene.
