The transition to an innovative trajectory of development of the Russian economy is impossible without creating conditions for sustainable economic growth above the global average. Modern trends that are formed as a result of interaction between the state, science and business as the main subjects of the innovation ecosystem have an impact on creating a favorable environment for generating knowledge, technologies, developing digital platforms, etc. The development and formation of a mechanism for interaction between the subjects of the innovation ecosystem contributes to increasing the competitiveness and strengthening the image positioning of economic entities at the macro and micro levels by creating new knowledge and introducing high-performance scientific technologies. A comparative analysis of international best practices and best Russian practices in the field of innovation management allowed us to identify the main factors that influence the interaction of subjects of the innovation ecosystem. Based on the data of international comparisons of patent activity, characteristics are obtained about the qualitative state of innovative interaction and forms of exchange of intangible assets with the participation of the state as a factor in the development of the national ecosystem. The research has a scientific novelty, which consists in the development of theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the interaction of subjects of the innovation ecosystem in the digital economy. The obtained results form analytical support for substantiating the directions of influence on factors that contribute to improving the efficiency of innovation management in various sectors of the economy.
