The relationship between culture and criminal policy

The article is devoted to the analyzes of the influence of culture on criminal policy, the formation of criminal law norms and their implementation. Culture is the foundation of law, including its norms aimed at countering crime. In this regard, criminal policy, being organically connected with culture due to these circumstances, should take into account its heterogeneous nature and cultural peculiarities existing in the relevant territory to the maximum extent. This is the key to the effectiveness of criminal policy, stable development of society and the state.
