Interrelationship of indices of violent death rate and prevalence of addictions in Transbaikalia

In the article the analysis of interrelations between violent death rate, the death rate associated with intake of alcohol and parameters of addictive health of the population of Transbaikalia is presented. Prevalence of the specified phenomena was studied from 1975 to 2005. During research ultrahigh levels of frequency of suicides and homicides are established, especially among countrymen of the Chita region. Close association between specified phenomena, the death rate associated with intake of alcohol and alcoholic psychoses is shown. The resulted data testify, that suicides versus homicides are less firmly associated with alcohol and substantially depend on social factors. For this reason one of ways of decrease in violent death rate is struggle against dependence on alcohol and drunkenness, especially in village which should be carried out on the basis of real improvement of quality of life of people.
