Interrelation of the Russian idea and Slavic civilization

The article considers the national ideology of the Russian population. The authors believe that the concept of national ideology, the core of which is a "national idea", should be associated with interpretation of a nation as a "political community of citizens of a particular state", rather than with the "ethnic nation" concept. It is emphasized that the Russian factor is the determining one in the Russian statehood and national-ethnic policy, therefore, it is concluded that there is a strong structural and cause-and-effect relationship of the Russian national ideology and the Slavic civilization.
