В статье обсуждаются вопросы взаимосвязи стоматологических и соматических заболеваний. Подчеркивается негативное влияние одонтогенной инфекции и заболеваний пародонта на развитие сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний, сахарного диабета и других системных патологий. Обосновывается необходимость междисциплинарного взаимодействия стоматологов и интернистов.
