Relationship between structure and feed area efficiency of milk production in farms of the Mari El Republic

Agricultural enterprises containing high yielding cows have a high percentage of perennial grasses in the structure of feeding areas - 74%. Studies conducted by the author, have shown that the higher the proportion of perennial grasses, the higher the productivity of dairy cattle. On average, one cow has to 6,8ga perennial grasses. Resources of the Republic of Mari El, with the structure of sown more than 80% of forage areas, receive more than 60 centners per cow. The current structure of forage areas in the country (-74% perennial grasses, annual plants - 23%, corn - 3%), allowed to achieve the level of profitability of dairy farming at 41%, which contributes to its further development.
