Interconnection between development level of physical qualities of qualified canoeists with lower limb amputation and competitive activity results

It is known that one of the most important factors of achievement of high sports results in paracanoe is physical training. Its features are mainly dictated by competitive activity conditions and also by functional capabilities of athletes with amputations of lower limbs. Now, there are practically no research devoted to the questions of structure and content development of physical training on the basis of research results of dependence of sports results on development level of physical qualities of paracanoeists. Therefore, the analysis of interrelations between effectiveness of competitive activity and development level of physical qualities of qualified canoeists with amputation of lower limbs is relevant. The correlation analysis results between the development level of physical qualities and effectiveness indicators covering a competitive distance of 200 meters by paracanoeists are presented in article. The highly skilled canoeists with amputations of lower limbs which are engaged in paracanoe in number of 8 people from the national team of Russia and Leningrad region belonging to the class LTA - IVF on ICF classification have participated in the research. The authors reveal the competitive activity features in paracanoe and functional capabilities of canoeists with amputations of lower limbs. The presented results are the totals of previous studies. The statistically significant interrelations between the result at the distance of 200 meters of the qualified canoeists in paracanoe and the development level are revealed: high-speed and power qualities (r = 0,840 and r = 0,869); coordination of movements (r = 0,835 and r = 0,885); highspeed endurance (r = 0,823 and r = 0,828); power endurance (r = 0,869 and r = 0,828).
