The 14th All-Russian scientific conference (with international participation) on “Political engineering in the space of social communications” dedicated to the 30th anniversary of scientific and educational programs in the political sciences at the Russian State University of the Humanities and the 75th anniversary of the International Political Science Association

In November 2023, the XIV All-Russian Scientific Conference (with international participation) on “Political engineering in the space of social communications”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of research and educational programs in political sciences at RSUH and the 75th anniversary of the International Political Science Association was held at the RSUH. The article reviews the main reports at the conference and explores its problem fields. Special attention is paid to the general characteristics of the areas of scientific research in the field of political science developed at the Russian State University for the Humanities. The ideas that formed the basis of the first research directions in the field of political science at the RSUH (political psychology, political technologies, the study of political and cultural processes in Russian regions and Russian federalism) are described. The author of the article points out that the conference represented the development of new directions in the study of religious identity, ethno-political and ethno-confessional processes in Russia and the post-Soviet space, as well as modern political processes in the Middle East. The direction related to the study of political institutions and processes in the post-Soviet space is successfully developing. The conditions for the reproduction of research and pedagogical personnel in the field of political sciences (dissertation council, scientific journal, cooperation with the Russian Political Science Association) are shown.
