Kidney diseases as clinical «mask» of androgen deficiency at men

The pathogenesis link between disturbances of sexual hormones exchange and chronic kidney diseases in men are covered in the lecture. The direct and indirect pathophysiological mechanisms of these relationships are considered in detail. Androgen deficiency at men is significant and independent risk factor for chronic kidney diseases progression and mortality in men. Therefore chronic kidney diseases in men should be consider as a complex interdisciplinary problem taking gender into account.
