The relevance of the study is that, despite the frequent association of the clinical picture of lupus with manifestations such as arthritis, skin rashes and lesions of internal organs, studies show that oral pathology also plays an important role in the overall clinical picture. Diseases of the oral cavity in SLE can significantly worsen the quality of life of patients and are indicators of disease activity. In this regard, it is important to study the features of the course and prevention of oral diseases in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The study includes an analysis of the clinical picture of the disease, the establishment of the influence of the disease on the functioning of other human organs, the determination of factors affecting the development of lupus erythematosus. Sjogren's syndrome, impaired oral microbe, improper diet and stress, leading to lesions of the maxillary system, cheeks and lips, can all cause lupus erythematosus disease. It is noted that oral health problems not only can affect the entire body, but also reflect the peculiarities of the development of SLE, increasing the risk of its exacerbations. Special attention is paid to the need for oral hygiene. According to the results of the study, it is concluded that the high prevalence of oral ulcers, especially in young patients, and hyposalivation in patients with late-onset SLE deserve separate medical and research attention, since these oral manifestations are one of the first clinical signs of SLE, therefore, they can be used for early diagnosis of pathology. Regular oral hygiene and stress and tension reduction play an important role.
